We have several adult Bible study classes that meet on Sunday mornings. Most groups are currently working through a curriculum that takes whole books of the Bible and studies them through in a systematic fashion. One group follows a more doctrinal/theological format for study. Because we value the kind of discipleship and mentorship that we find exemplified in Titus 2, most of our adult Bible study groups are multi-generational in their makeup.
Sunday Morning Worship
We encourage corporate family worship at First West. For children to see and be with their parents and other church members in worship is an incredible way to begin teaching children about the importance of the Gospel and the church. During worship, we have childcare for children birth – 4 years old. We strongly encourage children 5 years and older to join their families in worship. If your child needs a quiet activity to engage in during service, we welcome you to bring those or borrow an Activity Tub at the back of the Worship Center.
Our worship service normally lasts about one hour and fifteen minutes with a variety of Gospel-centered songs from all ages of the church and systematic expository preaching through whole books of the Bible. Most sermons last between 40 and 50 minutes.
Prayer – Every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. we gather for corporate adult prayer. We spend time praying for the needs of our church body and then shift our attention to growing in the Word of God.
